The natural way to a healthy child

Planning is essential in order to succeed in life which is why people buy insurance policies. To have a healthy child, however, is the best insurance policy that anybody can ever gift to oneself. The Jiva Ayurbaby Plan does exactly the same—it helps you be bestowed with a healthy child—mentally, physically and spiritually. Jiva Ayurbaby Plan is a pregnancy regimen for couple, in conformity with Ayurvedic principles, that includes a number of lifestyle and dietary practices, herbal medication sessions and Ayurvedic techniques that start even three months before conception and end with post-natal care.

Pre-Conception Care

Ayurveda considers begetting a child equivalent to planting a tree, for which we need four essential conditions—seed, field (soil), time and nourishment. Therefore, the plan starts three months prior to the day of union of the husband and wife. This pre-planning step involves cleansing, strengthening and preparing of their bodies, minds and souls using herbs, Panchakarma therapies and lifestyle practices so that they become capable of nurturing the seed in the near future.

Statistics shows that there are many early pregnancy failures, premature ovarian failures and miscarriages in spite of all prior medical tests performed on parents showing normal. Ayurveda attributes the reason for such failures to bearing seeds of weak potency. So, this pre-planning step pre-empts any untoward chances of such infertility-induced issues.

Pregnancy Care

At the end of the three-month long preparation, comes the day of conceiving (Garbadhan) on which the couple practices certain relaxation techniques. The whole gestation period of nine months are now spent on nourishing the young foetus so as to imprint nice Samskara (psychological conditioning) into the Chitta-Vriti (‘hard disk drive’) of the new-comer. This includes activities to feed the mother’s body, mind and soul with good food such as eating Sattvic foods (e.g., avoiding spices), creating a peaceful home environment, avoiding watching TV and using electronic gadgets and engaging in spiritual and intellectual activities (books, music, Mantras). Scientific research conducted on foetuses, too, substantiates the fact that foetus is disturbed in noisy places. The mother is also given Panchakrma treatments, massages and herbal medications such as Jiva Sattva Pregnancy Health Care Pack as prescribed by her Ayurvedic doctor. The ultimate plan is to help the mother giver birth to a health baby with a normal delivery.

Post-Natal Care

Once the baby is born, both the mother and the child undergo the Jiva post natal programme under which the mother gets regular Panchakarma massage to ease the back pain and stress associated with delivery. To keep her system strong and to provide her baby with extra nourishment, the mother takes specially prepared Ayurvedic herbs (such as Jiva Sattva Post-Natal Health Care Pack) created specifically for her Dosha (body type). The child is regularly pampered with Ayurvedic baby massage with both natural oil and Ubtan (a traditional paste made of herbs and pulses) to stimulate its rapidly developing body and brain.
